A note about COVID-19:
Our normal activities are different right now due to having to shift what we do weekly. At this time we have had to stop some things that are a typical part of our weekly worship. Here are a few things that are different: we are not singing as a congregation, how we collect the offering, our kid's ministry opportunities are shifting, and how we enter, exit, and greet one another when we gather for worship.
How long is a worship service?
Our worship services typically last around 60 minutes. We incorporate music through a praise team, choir, and congregational singing. Song lyrics typically appear on the screen, and you are welcome to participate as you feel comfortable. After singing, we will read scripture, enter into a period of Open Worship (this is an unstructured time of silence where people attending worship are welcomed to share if they feel led by God), then our pastor will share a message from the Bible, encouraging us to know God and to find our hope in Jesus Christ.
What is the culture like at South Fork Friends?
Sundays at South Fork are authentic, hopeful, and welcoming. We invite you to come as you are and be our guest.
What about my children?
At this time, due to COVID-19, we are slowly implementing activities for Children. We always welcome children of any age to be in the worship service, We recognize that they might squirm or make noise, and we believe they make our worship better because God put that movement and noise in them. They are every bit a part of the body of Christ as an adult. Each week, we provide a special packet to help them participate in our time together.
This month, we have added a Children's church element. Temperatures will be taken of children in Kindergarten-3rd grade as they enter for worship. They will be dismissed for their own special time of worship following the worship song.
Please see our kid's ministry page for videos, lessons, and daily devotions to help your child grow to know Jesus Christ as his or her Savior.
